Pittsfield, Maine – May 7, 2019 – Kleinschmidt Associates, an engineering, regulatory, and environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Rossie Corwon, Senior Consultant working out of the Lexington, South Carolina office, has been honored with the Women of Excellence Award from the Women’s Leadership Council, which is a program of the Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce.
In 2008 Rossie joined Greenwood County’s Engineering Department and became the leader of the department in 2014 until her retirement in August 2018. Management of Lake Greenwood and the Buzzards Roost Dam were a priority in her career and she was also instrumental in helping to secure over $5M worth of grants for improvements to the county’s airport during her tenure. Her final effort with the county was seeing the completion of the Greenwood County Animal Shelter to completion with the facility opening its doors in 2018. She joined Kleinschmidt in December 2018.

The Greenwood Women’s Leadership Council provides opportunities for all women to grow personally and professionally, and to build their influence in the community. This year’s Awards Luncheon was held on April 25, 2019 at Enchanted Acres and was attended by more than 200 people.
