Tim has been with Kleinschmidt for 23 years and has over 30 years of industry experience. He specializes in the management of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing efforts for hydroelectric projects and has specific experience preparing National Environmental Policy Act documents, environmental permitting support documents, and designing and conducting environmental studies, primarily in the areas of fish passage, minimum flow, and water quality. Tim has managed the relicensing of numerous conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric projects as well as the licensing of new hydroelectric and marine energy projects.
In addition to his technical work, Tim has also managed Kleinschmidt’s licensing, dam safety, fish passage, and marine renewable service areas and Kleinschmidt’s mid-Atlantic office in Pennsylvania. In his current role, Tim is responsible for providing overarching strategy and leadership for Kleinschmidt’s Power and Energy business throughout North America. Tim served two terms on the National Hydropower Association (NHA) Board of Directors and is currently a Co-Chair of NHA’s Marine Energy Council.
